Auckland Domain

Being the oldest park in Auckland, The Domain is particularly renowned for its Winter Gardens. Featuring over 75ha of gardens, large open spaces, mature trees, walkways and duck ponds. Developed around the cone of an extinct volcano, remnants of which can be seen in the contour of the land. For those dog lovers, Gum Tree Hill is a perfect spot to visit, being an official dog exercise area. A variety of plant life can be found here, as well as a sports field and a number of monuments.

Damo Sushi, across from Auckland Hospital, has the best coffee and food in the area. One of our Nurse friends swears by it, and Charlotte, Director and Ponsonby Branch Manager, goes for lunch if she’s passing by.
